Mypinpad

Building brand and engagement through consistent, high quality thought leadership articles and white papers

Mypinpad is an innovative pioneer in the SoftPOS space. However, when Agility PR began working with Barry Levett, CEO of Mypinpad, in late 2023, it was clear that marketing budgets were tight, although the business was growing well, selling its MPoC-certified SoftPOS platform to an array of neobanks, acquirers, PSPs and traditional banks around the world.

Mypinpad already had a great marketing manager with strong digital marketing skills and a good working relationship with Barry Levett.

The challenge was to support Mypinpad with strong thought leadership content, with a view to positioning Mypinpad, and specifically its leader Barry, as a thought leader: somebody with authority whose opinions on the payments market were worth reading, engaging with and commenting on. Some of this thought leadership content could then be promoted via Mypinpad’s regular stakeholder outreach through enewsletters, website and mailers.

What we did

Agility PR began working with Barry in November 2023 to scope the first few thought leadership pieces. We decided to run these pieces out via Barry’s own LinkedIn personal page as full articles, promoting them, via judicious use of hashtags and eye-catching imagery, on monthly LinkedIn posts.

Topics addressed and discussed in the monthly 1,000–1,500 word pieces loosely included: payments industry standards developments, most notably PCI SSC MPoC standards developments and other regulatory changes impacting SoftPOS adoption; developments within the payments market worldwide, such as the rise of SoftPOS players, PSPs, acquirers and fintech consolidators; merchant requirements, including their push for better customer experience and fast, resilient systems, their desire for different types of payments-ready devices, and the drift away from hardware lock-ins towards SoftPOS-enabled choices and greater functionality; and wider drivers for payments system change, such as the continual move away from cash towards digital payments, e-commerce and mobile wallet growth, the increase in contactless and cross-border payments, the rise of tokenisation and embedded payments, the pressure to progressively reduce digital payment costs, and the increased use of local and regional rails.

Some articles are more technical than others, but all expressed Barry’s detailed understanding of the payments market as a whole, and the drivers, dynamics and tech developments affecting adoption of both MPoC standards and SoftPOS.

The overall impression is that Barry and Mypinpad are not just thought leaders but SoftPOS technology leaders who fully understand the space and are ready to provide the right payment solutions to an array of market participants across the world.

The results

Agility PR’s Miles Clayton has provided a highly reliable, high quality stream of thought leadership content based on regular monthly CEO briefing calls.

In addition to the monthly ‘View from the CEO’ thought pieces, Agility PR also wrote a 6,000-word white paper entitled “Mapping the Journey into Mainstream Market Adoption of SoftPOS”, which was designed in-house and published via Mypinpad’s website in January 2026. It has so far gained over 150 downloads and counting.

Mypinpad brand

“These pieces which Miles at Agility PR is writing in close collaboration with me, are working well in terms of positioning, profile and engagement. His drive to ensure these get written to a very high standard and are published monthly, is great for Mypinpad.

Agility PR is also providing content which we can adapt and use elsewhere on our website and in outreach to our customers and prospects.”
